I have been told that the boxes were the same for 3/4 ton & 1ton pickups thru those years. Fenders & tailgates may have varied but boxes the same. Is that true? Now being told that Ford used outside vendors for box construction & there were two sizes or two boxes during that period. Anyone know the truth?

Not sure if the 1 ton and 3/4 were diff. but I just sold a tailgate that I though was off a 3/4 ton to a guy for his one ton and he said it worked well.
