OK, not that I think I am that interesting... I am wondering if we can keep a thread going with what we are doing on our 32's. I am refinishing my engine splash pans. I was thinking of powder coating it, but since I am not painting the motor or firewall, I thought it would be overkill. Besides, I can always strip the paint later. Going to spray them black rustoleum appliance paint

Jim, you might want to check, but the appliance paint may be too glossy.

At this point I am mainly after a good coating to preserve the part. The engine bay is certainly not pristine. If I ever restore the engine compartment I would redo the splash pans as well.

And this is what I started with. Flop in Pittsburg did the metal work. This message was edited by jim5618 on 2-3-12 @ 3:13 AM
