Can some one tell me where to find the serial #s on a 32 ford PU?

They are stamped on top of the left frame rail just in front of the foot on the firewall. You may have to loosen or remove the left front fender to find it. If the bed is off the pickup you will also find the number on top of the left frame rail just before the kickup over the rear axle.

  Windjamer,

Don't be disappointed if you don't find the number on the rear portion of the frame rail as the original instruction to the assembly plants was to stamp commercial frames only at the firewall location. Exceptions do exist, but the norm is the single location (on commercial frames).

Hi thank you for the information. We puled off the fender. Undernealth was a cotton welting, about 3/16 thick. We scraped the paint off the frame from the firewall to the rivits for the front cross member, but found nothing but pock marks of rust.
We are planing to pull the bed and look at the back frame.

Don't be surprised if you don't uncover a readable serial number. I consider it lucky to locate about half of the numbers. Many are lightly stamped, or not at all.
We call them "monday" or "friday" cars, as the workers charged with stamping the numbers may have been hungover, or in a hurry to get out for the weekend.

On a Model B the serial number on the engine area is located on a cast iron piece between the engine and transmissiion.
On the Model 18 (V-8) it's located on the top of the transmission just above the inspection plate.
In both cases it's not on the engine.
See Van Pelt's Ford Barn or web site for actual location points.
