Are the square taper measurements approximately 1/2 " on the small end, 9/16"? on the large end & a shaft diameter of 11/16" ? The taper length is about 1 1/2". I have a longer one which will have to be shortened if my measurements are correct but I need a handle with an internal taper. It,s overall length is 25 1/2.

The length of an original 18-17040 starting crank extension with a four-sided taper on one end was 16 3/4". The diameter of what you have is the same as an original extention at 11/16". I'll provide the taper dimensions the next time I am at my indoor junkyard.

The taper is 2 1/8" on four sides ending in a 7/16" square.

Thank you. I can make my extension work. I,ll shorten the drive pin end & cross drill for the pin. Now I,ll start looking for a handle. I wonder if my longer extension could have been for a BB.
