Topic: 1932Cabriolet header trim

If 3W2 is willing I could use the drawing and dimensions of this trim piece that you had offered a few months ago. I have someone who can make it seeing as I cannot locate one. Can you send me a private message if you have that info? Also, the car is ready for paint. I am painting it Winterleaf brown and thought that the belt molding was darker than the body. Then I was looking in the repaint manual sold by various vendors and it says the whole body is the darker Winterleaf brown. Is this correct? According to the Club's 1932 book the body is lighter than the molding. Then lastly, Is the top fabric with the olive tint to it offered by Lebaron Bonney the correct color for this car as original?

The olive drab top material is correct for a '32 deluxe open such as your cabriolet.

Great color choice; one of my favorites. It only came one way, namely winterleaf brown light as the main body color and winterleaf brown dark as the color of the moldings on the body and hood.

I'm away from my old car stuff for a couple of weeks, but in mid-month I can send you a photo of the roof rail front face panel to confirm that is what you are seeking. Then, if so, I can make a tracing of it.

If you are in a hurry or want specific dimensions, you may want to contact the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn to see if they have the original engineering drawing of the part. If they do you can then order a copy of it. I believe that the part number was B-70212

Thanks so much for the info, I really appreciate the help as this is my first restoration. If you could send me the photo that also might help me. I'll try and contact the Benson facility, too. The photo of your car sure looks great, it gives me hope that mine will eventually be done.
