Topic: 1932 Ford windshield mounting info. needed.

I am new to this forum, and as such, am asking help from this group of Ford enthusiasts. I am trying to set up a 1932 Ford roadster windshield assembly but do not have any of the mounting structure under the cowl. Would someone please share a picture or two of what I need to build, locate or purchase to facilitate proper and safe mounting of the windshield assembly?
Thanks, Al

There's a reinforcement plate underneath the cowl below each windshield post stanchion. The stanchions are bolted to the cowl with two hex head bolts and split lock washers. As I recall, one has 5/16-24 threads and the other 7/16-20 threads. Your best bet for the reinforcement plate reproductions if yours are absent would be Brookville as I know that their roadster cowls have the correct contour to accept original stanchions as well as their reproduction stanchions. The photo of the underside of the cowl where the reinforcement plates are located likely isn't very helpful, but it's all that I have available where I at presently.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to respond and attach a picture. Do you have any details about the mounting plate you refer to for mounting the windshield base posts? How thick is the plate? How is it attached to the cowl and or "A" door pillar? I assume that this mounting plate is mounted right flush against the body tin?
Thanks again,
Al

They are not separate but rather an integral part of the cowl structure, likely spot welded in place. They are flush with the contoured insides of the cowl top sheet metal.

I'm away from my car stuff until early May so I am unable to photograph the cowl underside for you.
