Hello! Is there a difference between the speedometer changer for a 1940 Ford & 1941 Ford Passenger Car.

I am attempting to help a buddy of mine. He has a 1941 Ford and a 1941 Columbia. He is missing a speedometer changer but does have one that, in my opinion, looks exactly like a 1940 changer. I sent in the inquiry since the changer is about the only "control" item that is not being reproduced or available.
