Now working in the engine compartment of my '36 I noticed a jury-rigged return spring setup for the throttle. On further examination I saw that the proper spring was broken. I know that replacement springs can be purchased but am not sure if the entire throttle linkage must be removed or not in order to install the replacement? Is it an easy task or involved?

The return spring is the same for 35-48. It is part number 48-9737, and fits over the fixture. C&G has them for six dollars. 800/266-0470.
