The handle secures to the deck lid with a large hex nut that is enclosed by inner panels. How does one remove and reinstall the handle? Access with a conventional wrench is impossible. There must be a way without damaging the nut or sheet metal. I have abetter handle than is with the car. 1949 4Dr Sedan

I don't remember how the 49 is, but I have used chanel locks on my 48.
