When Fomoco put tube shocks on late 47 and 48 autos, where did they mount the bottom of the front shock? Thanks

I believe that the lower shock mount was on the axle. Tom

You should find a hole in the axle about midway between the kingpin and the wishbone. The mounting bolt runs through the shock and then through the axle.
