How do you remove the knob from the headlight switch of a 1953 Ford?

I don't think the knob comes off the shaft. Theres I think a spring loaded button on top of the switch under the dash that is pressed down and pull on the knob and shaft and both come out together. If I remember right?? ken ct.

Thank you Ken. You were right, I located the push button on top of the switch, pushed it, and pulled the knob and stem out with no problem.
