I am currently having my 1953 Sunliner restored by a very reputable restoration shop in So NH. I want to paint the car sungate ivory. They have not been able to find the correct color, they tell me that it has been changed over the yrs and what is now available as sungate ivory is a very tan color- I have seen it and it is not at all Iike the chips available, or the colors I see in period pictures. I can go with another white, but does anybody have any suggestions re where I could obtain the correct color? Thanks!

Take a look at Wimbledon White which was used by Ford in the mid to late 60's. Very close to Sungate Ivory.

Take a look at the second reference MG gave. You can go through the years to find one close.

You can also try to have your painter color match to your sample.

TCP Global can usually mix the color as it was back in the day.

I had the paint supply house color match my 53 Lincoln Colonial Blue as there was no formula for the paint. We took a color that was close to the original and then added tints to get the correct color.
