I need to replace or have my 1940 shocks rebuilt. Any suggestions. Thanks

Apple Hydraulics seems to be the only one left to rebuild the original shocks. You may be able to find a replacement set by advertising for them on this site or the Ford barn. Tom

I just had 3 sets rebuilt by Five Points Shocks in California, 1 '36 set and 2 '46 sets, I had 2 '46 sets and shipped all 3 sets, asking to check the 2 '46 sets, turned out all '46's were good so I had them all redone, selling 1 '46 set, for cost of rebuild, $863 including shipping. I had shopped around, price and quality and Five Points came out on top

I had two each rebuilt for my '34 and '37 by Bill Wzorek. I am delighted with the results. Check on Fordbarn for his address and phone number.

Bill Wzorak has been ill and last that I heard is not accepting new business. He would be my first choice, if he is accepting new business. Tom

TomO... I could not agree with you more. RE: Apple Hydraulics: I would not give them anything to "rebuild" after they destroyed a rare (correct) set of 38 shocks I'd sent them a few years back.

I just heard from Bill Wzorek and he is still doing shocks with help from his wife. His phone number is 413-586-5324 and his email address is wpwz@comcast.net.
