my oil pressure sender does not have any numbers on the brass. how can i tell if its 50 or 80 lb.?

It is my understanding that sending units were not marked until Ford started using 80 lb. oil pumps, thus making it necessary to distinguish the sending units. As a result, 50 lb. units can be marked with a "50" or have no markings at all, whereas the 80 lb. units are always marked. I'm sure others will chime in to confirm or debunk this assertion.
