I am currently redoing a 1938 Ford Deluxe I have exhausted all avenues and seek your help I am not able to locate a repro 1938 hood latch handle and base Please advise if you know a supplier I would fit a 1937 set ...can anyone advise if the 1937 base has the same curve as the hood of 1938 deluxe Also...please advise if there is a supplier for the stainless strips which fit the side of a 1938 deluxe hood For general info....the Australian cars had a different build number code to US models...and my id build number shows it to be number 65 of that body in Aust!! Banjup: The 37 will not fit. I know of no reproduction suppliers of either the 38 Deluxe hood handle assembly or the stainless hood trim. Us 38 Ford Deluxe owners have to rely on swap meets, Ebay or early Ford suppliers of NOS/used stuff. There simply isn't enough demand to tool up body parts that are unique to 38's. I believe you can source the side panel V8 emblems, and for a while, the grille center moulding was available from Bob Drake for a limited production run. He subsequently modified that tooling to produce a run of the equally obscure 39 Standard grill center. You could place a parts wanted ad in our classified, but you will probably only hear from London-based Nigerians wanting personal information.
