Many are running them, but be aware that the centers are riveted to the outer rim and the rivets could leak air.

Following Tom's info, most old Fords must put tubes in the tires due to rims not designed to hold air pressure. This defeats many of the advantages of tubeless tires. In addition, old rims are not designed to secure the tire beads, and in the event of a blowout, or other rapid deflation, it can result in the tire being pulled off the wheel. Many get along fine with tubeless tires on old vehicles, but bias ply tires retain the original "look", as well.

I have run 15" tubeless radial tires on old ford wheels for years. The rivets don't leak & I've never had a tire fall off. Plus the radials make the car so much better to drive.

  Zuktom, no tubes, no problems.

This is not an answer to your question but just want to say that I have been using radial tires with tubes rated for use with radials on 35 16" wire wheels for the last six years. These tires gave a huge improvement in the quality of ride and handling over the bias tires that were on my 35 fordor sedan. Have not had a single problem with tires or wheels since changing to radials. Have now put ~10,000 to 12,000 miles on them. I would never even consider going back to bias ply tires.

  Tubeless bias, stock wheels...no problems.
