Is there anyone reproducing the complete exhaust system for a 1935 V8 car that will actually fit without reworking. I installed a system in a 1934 car and had to use the torch to bend pipes to make them fit, esp. the cross over pipe.

Most, if not all, prefab exhaust systems require substantial modifications to fit properly. We have all systems made up at a very good local shop, including some in stainless steel. It is quicker, and usually less expensive, than ordering a system and expecting it to fit out of the box. Look around for a good independent shop, as the franchised places usually seem to think that a "bender" is something you do at a bar!

You might try Waldren Exhaust; www.waldrenexhaust.com. I have found that most prefab exhaust stuff always needs some work. It is not just a bolt-on and go product. I agree with Bob and would go to a good independant muffler shop and have it custom made.

Have you (or anyone) tried "Classic Exhaust" in Geneva, Ohio? I ordered a set for my 1950 Ford with a 6-cylinder engine in June of 2009. I have not yet reached the point of installing it; I hope it works.
