I'm repacking my front wheel bearings on the '37 and relacing the inner seals. When I tap in the inner seals, do I stop when they a flush with the drum casting or do I tap them in until they are stopped by the inner bearing?

I always do them flush with the drum. A block of straight wood works good for this. I place the wood across the seal/drum to insure it is a uniform fit all around.

Thanks 40guy - thats exactly what I did but I was concerned about the depth of the seal. Flush to the drum it is then. Thanks again.
