If you have the correct carb for your '36, it is a Stromberg 97. C&G (800/266-0470) shows that as item # 67-9590-V8,97. When buying a rebuild kit, be sure that it contains "fuel proof" parts to resist alcohol. Smaller suppliers may have old kits in stock. The 97 is not an easy carb to rebuild, and requires a special jet wrench. C&G has them as item 97-JETWRENCH.

For Stromberg parts I go to Max Musgrove at http://www.stromberg-97.com/ If you have any problems he can assist including stuck power valves or questions. He also restores old Strombergs for you.
