Any info on a reliable carrier to transport my newly acquired 36 Fourdoor from Bellevue Wa to Chicago would be greatly appreciated. Car will be ready June 29.

Congratulations on your new car and welcome to the Forum. There are many companies that will transport your car. Here is a link to a site that gives you some insight in what to expect. http://www.buyclassiccars.com/transport.asp If you are not a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club, I suggest that you go to the home page of this site and look over the advantages of belonging to both the National and the Northern Illinois Regional Group. http://www.nirgv8.org/ Tom

The car was brought to me by Rock Automotive Group, Inc., the driver was Scott. Received it in 4 days. Great service. Scott's number 219-331-8459. Call direct and eliminate broker middle-man, save $175. TIM CARLIG

Hello, Be prepared to pay $1.25 a loaded mile on up for direct ' door to door ' enclosed transport with an actual hauler - not a broker. Pay no deposit. Make sure your car comes direct to you with no transfer and no change of driver. Jim
