Anyone aware of a seal better than the lead washer for a '35? Advice for installation? Thanks. - R.J.

The lead seal is the only thing that works to my knowledge. Some use a good gas tank sealer around the seal before installing the fill pipe.

I tried several things, O rings, flat rubber washer etc. Only way I got mine to quit leaking was to use TWO LEAD WASHERS.
