Just purchased an Unrestored 1953 Crestline Victoria from Kansas. My son now has it garaged in Nebraska where it will stay until next summer. I am SOOOOOO excited. This is also my birth year (1953). If any other forum members have an interest in the old 53, let me know. Cheers all, Don (Missouri) This message was edited by EagleDon on 12-24-11 @ 2:44 PM

Don, welcome to the forum. I don't own a 53, but my neighbor and another friend do own 53 Victorias. If you have questions I hope I can help. If you are not a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club I encourage you to join. You'll find lots of good information in the V-8 Times magazine. The V-8 Club does not have a book that is specific to the 1952-53 Fords, but if you purchase the V-8 Album(covers Ford products from 32-53) from the club you will find a fair amount of informtion on the 53's.The book is currently on sale and can be purchased on this site.

The first Ford I ever owned was a 1953 Customline Tudor with V-8 engine and 3-speed manual transmission. My dad had purchased it used in 1958 and I swapped another car to him for it in 1961. 1953s are great - the newest of Flathead Ford V-8s. I have a lot of fond memories of that car which I drove everywhere for five years before selling it to a good friend of mine.
