I bought a bumper jack which was said to be correct for a '52 thru '54 Ford. However, the spring (springs?) is (are) missing (I knew this when I bought the jack). I have several old jacks out of 50's and 60's which I thought would have a spring that would work, but these jacks are quite different from the jack I bought. I'd certainly appreciate seeing some good photos of a working jack for the '52 thru '54 Fords, particularly with respect to the jacking mechanism/spring(s). Thanks.

You might want to contact Lin Stacey who is the tool advisor for the V-8 Club. Lin has a lot of information on jacks, tire irons, lug wrenchs , etc. I'm sure he can help you. His contact information is in the V-8 Times advisor section.
