In early Nov.2011 I asked for advice re door glass installation. I now have a new glass for my 1950 Ford, 4-door sedan. I am unsure as to how the glass is secured to the channel. I have a new lower channel and roll of glass bedding (a corklike substance) obtained from Mac's Antique Auto Parts. Before I get into trouble attempting to do it wrong, I am hoping to get some words of wisdom from those who have "been there, done that" Also I have to replace the vent-bar glass channel. Any help will be appreciated; thank you.

Since I'm not sure what Macs has supplied I suggest you take the retainer material to a glass shop and ask them how it is used. I usually use a black rubber looking product which one wets with oil, the pieces are assembled and overnight the rubber swells and locks the glass into the runner. Bill Brown '34 Cabriolet
