I have a closed car rear view mirror. Tan color.Part # IIA-17690-A. I believe is 41. Will this also fit 42-48? Thank You

If the mirror head fits the mount, it will work, unless you plan to have the car judged. I have a '40 mirror in my '47 because the original mirror produced an echo image that was disturbing. The earlier mirror is much better, particularly in a convertible with the top up.

Part # 17690 is listed in the parts book as a outside rear view mirror arm for commercial trucks 44-47. The parts books lists the inside rear view mirror assemblies as variations of 17700 for all cars from 38-48 so it appears, at least from the parts book, that they are all interchangeable. Old Henry (The older I get, the better old looks.)
