How do I hook up an aftermarket ammeter to a original 1937 Ford with a 6 volt system? Thanks. Don

Locate the yellow wire that feeds the ignition switch and place the ammeter in series with that wire. If the ammeter reads "backwards" when the headlights are turned on, swap the meter connections.
