Are the scuff plates for the 37 Club Cabriolet different than for the 37 Rumble Cabriolet & Roadster? Can’t find my body parts list to identify the PN & body application. Help, please.

how long is you door opening ? or length of the old door scuff plates ? lets us know,,,,,,,37RAGTOPMAN

according to my 37-38 FORD BODY PARTS LIST, the part number for door scuff plates is 78-712150 RH 78-712151 LH it does not list the cars seperate so I would assume they are the same. hope this helps 37RAGTOPMAN

37RAGTOPMAN: Thanks for info info you sent on PNs. Interesting; they are different than the C & G, Drake, Carpenter, & MAC catalogs. I find this interesting. Also, the catalogs list different PNs for various body styles. Anyhow, as soon as I find my originals in the barn, I'll post length. I can post door bottom length sooner. Then anyone with a rumble cabriolet or roadster could measure their door bottoms & provide that info. This could help others too. Stay tuned.

hi I checked CARPENTER'S catalog and they are not in there, just for Coupes,Sedans Conv Sedan and PHAETON and a few other models. they were made at one time, maybe will be making for both CABRIOLETS and ROADSTERS for 1937-1938 at some time in the future.. you can call Drake and see if they have any, I think they are the ones making them, I have a 1937 78-760-A Hope this helps 37RAGTOPMAN

37RAGTOPMAN: You suggested I send measurements for comparison. My door length across outside bottom is 42”. Scuff plate overall length along top of rolled flange that sits on floor & extends inside hinge/lock pillars is 40 ½”. Scuff plate length of patterned vertical surface between pillars is 40 1/8”. How do these dimensions compare with your 78-760-A? Thanks, Dick.
