I have a newly restored 41 Ford convertible and need to pinstripe my wheels with the original triple stripe in vermillion red. Does anyone know of a good source for getting this done; is there someone who does this in the Chicago area (I live in the northwest suburbs)? Are there any special techniques that would allow me to do this myself? Thanks, Scott

Check your V-8 Club roster and call some of the members in your area. They may know a striper. Also check around at a local sign shop. Many times they may have someone or know of someone who can do it. If you want to try it yourself you can check on the Beugler striping tool. The demonstrations they give make it look easy, but usually these tools wind up sitting in a tool box or cabinet because it's not as easy as it looks. Finding a good freehand striper is really your best bet.

If you want to do it yourself, the NORG website has a procedure. http://www.norgv8club.org/norg/index.php/headliner-newsletters-and-tech-tips/category/10-norg-tech-tips Tom

Scott, Give Lloyd a call. He has an excellent pinstriper. Ken

Thank you to everyone for the suggestions. I talked with Lloyd yesterday and he gave me the contact information for Greg Widaman here in the Chicagoland area (708-788-9080), who he had good things to say about. I called Greg today and he was out but he should be able to get back to me on Monday. So hopefully I'll be able to nail something down with him when we talk. Scott
