Under, or I should say above the headliner of my 38 coupe were two roof silencer pads (identified in the Mallast book) approximately 24 inches by 41 inches by 1/8 inch thick rubber. They were hard, brittle but still gave me a fight peeling off the roof. I contacted LeBaron Bonney to see if they were part of the interior kit I plan to purchase and they are not. They do sell a similiar product which I could use but I thought I would ask what others have used and the type of adhesive recommended to take the roof heat - thanks

I used Eastwood's Thermo Coustic sheets prior to headliner install and the sound absorption difference was incredible. Also much fun to tap on sheet metal and hear a very muted thud rather than that tinny noise.

apparently I won't be sending the email to you as a PM due to the website function not working. Anyway check it out on Eastwood.com as it is on sale. Very easy to use.
