Somewhere, I thought on this forum, I remember reading of a way to make the instrument lighting on a '49 Ford more visible or brighter at night. I searched for past threads but found nothing. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to do so? Thanks. Jim Farrell

I think I answered my own question. There was an exchange on this forum from 10/25 to10/26/09 that I found on Google under "1950 Ford dash lights". It basically says that you have to carefully take out violet colored glass pieces the lights go into. Jim Farrell

Only remove the colored glass from the right and left of the cluster. If you remove all the glasses the light becomes too bright in my experience.
