Does anyone have information on availability of hub cap clips that are attached to the wheel of a 1936 Ford. Have lost and retrieved our hubcap twice. Tried to straighten clips and restore proper tension to them. This was not successful. Any advice on repair or replacement of these clips would be appreciated. Hubcap survived both episodes with minor scratches on outside. Hubcap appears to have kept its original shape.

Norge, those clips are spring steel, and they do break if bent too far, but if careful, you may be able to improve their tension to the hubcap. If one breaks on you, you'll have to remove the wheel and take it to maybe? a lawnmower repair shop? for replacement. Alan

If your hub cap spring clips are bent and/or broken the only way to correctly reposition them is to grind the rivets off.. If the clip still appears to have reasonable tension clamp the base end into a vise and gently tap the other end with a small hammer to "open" the angle. Re-attach the clip to the wheel using a machine screw and nut. The clips can be replaced in the same manner... I have no idea who has a supply of replacement clips, you might have to harvest some from a spare wheel. Bill 36 5 win delx cpe
