When I re-installed my refurbished radiator in my 46 Coupe, although I have the bolts and springs, it did not have the rubber piece that I see in the replacement installation kits. Will I be ok without this rubber piece or would it be a good idea to get them?

Steve, it'll be ok, but it might squeek. The frame is not rigid, but the radiator needs some wiggle room. Same for the gas tank, but no rubber on gthat mount. Alan

The purpose of the rubber pads is to reduce or eliminate any squeaking as the radiator moves on the springs. We usually just cut a couple of strips of rubber from an inner tube. In all, it isn't a vital component such as the springs, and not worth redoing the job.
