I have a 1939 delux convertible sedan. The original temperature guage works but the red color is gone. I can see it in a dark room with a flashlight but there is no hope to see it while driving in the sunlight. Anybody have a suggestion on getting some color back in it? I don't want to put a repro unit in if I can help it.

check out E-BAY, they come up for auction every one in a while, saw a NOS last week, 37,38,39 are the same except for the face plate, which is easy to change, hope this helps, 37 RAGTOPMAN and KEEP on FORDIN,,,, ALSO place a wanted ad on this web site, might also help

Thanks for the input. I was hoping there might be a way to get some red dye in but I guess not.
