I’ve attempted to install a new front emergency cable on a ‘53, but failed to take photo of the configuration of the ratchet pawl and the spring that holds the pawl in place. The manual has a diagram but doesn’t show how the spring is configured to allow the pawl to operate correctly when the handle is pulled and released. Does anyone have a photo of the configuration or maybe can explain how the spring is attached? Thanks for your time. Jim

Would anyone with a pull handle emergency brake handle system like on my 53 ford be able to take a photo of the pawl and small spring mechanism for me? I do not know how the spring is configured to engage the pawl when you pull the handle back. Any assistance much appreciated. Jim
