I would like to see a picture of a 47 car horn and bracket. I know what the horns look like but I need a picture of the horn and bracket together and the bracket separate. I’m headed to Hershey and want to find the proper pair. Thanks in advance for the replies.

If you have access to the 1941-48 Ford Book published by the club, look on pages 5-13 and 5-14 to see pictures of the two different types of horns used on 1947 passenger cars. Early style projection horns, as shown in Figure 5-30, were used on the early '47s and were mounted on the engine side of the front fender apron, the left apron on V-8s and the right apron on "G" series sixes. The later '47s used the sh*ll type horns shown in Figure 5-31. These smaller sh*ll type horns were mounted behind the grille in front of the radiator. James, when I took delivery of my 1946 station wagon there was a set of horns in the car along with other miss. parts. The previous owner took them apart, I don't know why, but the bracket, two horn projectors, horn "guts", domes and a bag of dome screws are in the bag. If you want them they are yours for free and I will be in HERSHEY from Tuesday until Thursday. Let me know if you want them and I can bring them to HERSHEY.
