Topic: Seam sealer on 47 hood

The 46 to 48 hoods are three pieces. The left and right halves and the center raised rib. There is a slight gap between the raised rib edges and the left and right half tops. In places the primer fills the gap but most is still open. I am concerned when I paint the color, you will see gap closures and gap opens. I know the gap was open from the factory. Would you restorers apply a thin bead of seam sealer in this gap so it looks consistent? Thanks in advance for the reply.

Allowing primer and / or any paint to "fill the gap" is a rookie mistake. A little drying, a little flexing and that "filler" is going to crack.
Same sealer is probably your best option. My best option would be to NOT fill the gap.
