I just purchased a 49 Ford Custom 2 dr, original. I've been trying to find a place online that sells seat covers in original or near original look, with no luck.

You may have to go to an upholstery shop to have a set of seat covers made for your car. An alternative would be to buy a new sewing machine for your wife or you to use to make the seat covers.
