My brake lights run off of a 6volt system stay on very dimmly. pulled brake light switch wire off and they went off. Will just replacing the switch fix problem or a new master cyclinder fix it. I read that sometimes in an old master cyclinder the rod sticks inside and may cause the brake lights too stay on. Anybody ever have this problem???

Most likely just replacing the switch will cure the problem. Do you have sufficient brake pedal free travel? It should be between 1/4 to 7/16 inch.
