Topic: 1947 car ring rubber seal

Below is a picture of a rubber seal between the heater fresh air intake and the heater blower housing for a 48 car. I looked in a factory parts manual and I believe it is part number 6A 18570-B.
Does anyone know wheee I can get this seal. It has a 4” ID. Thanks in advance for the replies.

  James,
I think that is the correct part number, but I can't find any information that is being reproduced. Contact Michael Driskell at Third Gen Auto in Tennessee and ask if he knows a source or substitution.

James, I have never seen that part reproduced. You might have to get creative in fabricating your own part. I would visit the plumbing department at your local big box store and see what you can modify to work. I know they make all sorts of 4" rubber couplings that might work if modified.
