Hi Second question, same topic. I’m trying to rebuild my combo fuel and vacuum pump on my 8BA. Getting those diaphragms hooked on both pumps is tricky. I thought it was done and buttoned it up and the fuel side slipped out of the slot. Does anyone have a trick for getting those slots solidly onto the lever?

Here are the instructions from the 1952 Merc Shop Manual. Rebuilding that pump is tricky, that is why I recommend that you send it to a shop that specializes in them. Tom
