Hello, I'm looking for the meaning of this number (20X89) applied to the firewall next to the regulator. Thanks in advance, Fred

Fred, I am confident in my belief that you are unlikely to get any definitive breakdown of those numbers.
Similar numbers have been witnessed on other Fords of other years. There has never been a rhyme or reason discovered that will allow us "proof" of what those numbers depict.

Mike, Surprised I am that you don't have a clue. 'Tis fitting this question comes to us on the good St Paddy's day, as those numbers represented the assembly line (20 Irishmen) celebrating with excellent 90 proof Irish whiskey on the rocks!

Thank you very much for your replies.
Alan, do you have any more information about the factory and the production line?

Not really, and my Irish accent only seems to occur on March 17 every year, for some reason.
