Topic: 1939 Voltage Regulator Revisited

rbh3rd    -- 11-21-2025 @ 6:24 PM
Today I learned from the EFV8 38-39 book that there were 2 variations of the 1939 regulator, one made by Ford and the second by RBM Mfg (see photo #1). Previously I had only seen the RBM version (photo #2). Meanwhile I received a response to my WTB classified ad offering what looks like a '39 Ford-built regulator (photos 3-5). Can anyone knowledgeable here positively identify this thing?

Thanks,
Russ

Russ, that black one appears to be correct.
Please be careful with the transaction as there is way too many scammers. Is the fellow a member?
I'd suggest you get his full name and address and then do a google search of the property. Due diligence my friend....
