4 speed manual transmission. When clutch pedal is pressed a fairly loud rattling noise begins. Clutch works properly and as soon as pedal is disengaged rattling noise stops. In my mind it has to be something with the pedal linkage but can’t seem to locate. Appreciate any advise. Thanks

Sound like the throwout bearing may be the cause of your noise. It is located in the bell housing and spins when it contacts the pressure plate fingers. Tom

Is there a method I can use to verify that this is the problem?
