Hello, I am new to the site and to owning an old Ford. I'm expecting delivery of a '53 Crestline Victoria Friday and first thing I need to address is the hood hinges. The hood alignment is terrible; it is up in the back near the windshield. I purchased some new hinges from Splotlite Kustom Accessories and they appear to be correct and of good quality. Does anyone have first hand experience changing these things out. I read that you have to take the fenders off to change the hood hinges but I am hoping that is not true. Thanks for any advice.
