I hane a 1950 Ford convertible, the horn blows intermitly . How do I remove the horn ring to see what is wrong with it ?? Thanks, Dale T

Push all the way down on the center of the horn button and rotate it counterclockwise. It will then be able to we lifted off of the steering wheel.

It is already loose and still won't come off. I am trying to be careful so I don'tbreak it..Any other sugestions ?

Dale, Carcrazy has it exactly right. I don't know of any other way. Be sure it is pushed all the way down, and squarely, support it with both hands and rotate. There will be some resistance. When you pull it off, watch out for the horn wire which will be fastened to the center with a screw. You can buy a new horn button insulator from the usual suppliers, such as Dennis Carpenter, that should solve the problem. Ken

Thanks for the imformation, got horn ring off "two of the 3 screws" came loose somehow. Got a freind to help and finally got it off.. Thanks to all who replied.... Dale T
