What differences are there, if any, between a 1936 21 Stud LB block oil pan vs 1935 21 stud oil pan? I understand the 1936 LB block has insert bearings on the mains and the main caps are larger than the 1935 engine. Thanks Rudy

Rudy I think they are the same. Since I have a 1935 pan on a 1937 engine Greg Meiling 1935 3 Window Coupe

The 1935 oil pan has an offset drain above the wishbone. The 1936 oil pan has a center drain.

There is an early 35 pan with the 34 style of dip stick tube and cast bracket. The club restoration book covers differences.

The 36 LB pan is deeper around the front main cap. Ford's solution to fit an early pan on a LB engine was heavy use of a ballpine hammer.
