I went out to my favorite auto store and purchased a 1/4 3-1 air filter/ regulator/lubricator and when I got home started thinking, do I need the lubricator part cause I normally just add oil manually to my air tools, I just want clean dry air.Should I return this item and get water filter

I believe that your question was answered in your first post. Oil the air tools, dry the air.
