Hi, planet clicker From what I see in your pictures, that steel strip appears to be held in place by small screws or clips. It's likely held in place by trim screws that go through pre-drilled holes in the panel, although some vehicles also use friction clips to hold it in place. No screws or clips, mine is held in by the fabric strip and compression by the interior windshield moldings.
