Hi all, need some advice on our '36 Ford sedan we purchased. In reverse there is a very bad shudder when the clutch is released, and continues shuddering while you reverse. Going forward there is no shudder. Any advice?

Being it shudders in reverse only; it's probably not a clutch issue. Check to be certain engine steady rods are in place and tight. Engine mounts fresh? Transmission mount fresh? Mike "Kube" Kubarth

In addition to the items previously mentioned, check the rear shock links to make sure there is no play in the connections to them.
