I have a 1940 4dr. I would like to put fender skirts on it. They seem to be extremely rare. I know a guy that may be able to take a hunk of tin and beat it into a fender skirt. Does anyone have a set of drawings that he could use to manufacture me a couple of skirts??? missouriron@gmail.com Ron

Original fender skirts are hard to find and expensive. If you don't mind aftermarket skirts they are available, just google "1940 ford skirts" Tom

I purchased a set for my 36 ford from Agape Auto back in 2005. I purchased the original style but he also had the teardrop style. you would have to check if he is still making them. They are very good quality. Agape Auto Evansville, IN. gsagape@aol.com

One man's opinion, which is worth about what you paid to hear it: I would save your time and expense to find skirts. Some cars look good with skirts, some do not. The huge skirts for the 1940's big rear wheel opening are UUUGLY!

Jay I agree with you. I was never a fender skirt guy and also I'm not into spot lights. Those old Fords look good just like they left the factory.
